- play the chime bars to go up and down the scale 
- explore the differences between high and low sounds and soft and loud sounds 
- sing songs in time with the music.

WALT write a timed recount about a time when we did something special with our whanau or family.

·      who was with you
·      what you did (think about the order you did things)
·      how you felt and why you felt this way.

Once I went to a great Kea camp with dad. That night my friends and I had a pillow fight. It was huge. We stayed up all night. In the morning I was exhausted because I stayed up all night. The people from our class was Harry and William. We heard people talking. I felt really happy because I had heaps of friends there.

Next steps
Add extra detail with some describing words to make that picture in the mind of the reader.

e.g. Where was the Kea camp? What did it look like? Were you in tents or cabins?

2014 Term 1 ART ATTACK

WALT: use different painting techniques to paint a picture of a Lizard or Geko.

We will know we can do this when:

·      use different colours to emphasise specific features/details
·      use different brush stroke techniques to create different effects
